## Incident Details

A 16-year-old Emirati boy tragically drowned in a dam located in the Wadi Al Aeem area of Ras Al Khaimah. The incident occurred around 4:30 PM on a Sunday, shortly after the Asr prayer. The teenager was with his cousin, riding bicycles near the dam when he slipped into the water.

## Father's Account

The boy's father, Jumaa Ali Al Mazrouai, explained that his son and cousin stopped near the dam to clean mud off their feet. The thick mud caused the boy to lose his footing and fall into the water. Despite his cousin's efforts to save him, the boy remained submerged for over an hour before divers recovered his body.

Residents are urging for the installation of fences, warning signs, and surveillance cameras to prevent future incidents. The lack of basic safety infrastructure has been a significant concern for the community.
