## New Bridge to Connect Key Roads in Sharjah

The Ruler of Sharjah, His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, has given the green light for a major infrastructure project. A new bridge, costing Dh140 million, will link Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Road with Maliha Road. This initiative aims to improve traffic flow and reduce travel times in the area.

## Project Details and Timeline

The bridge will feature three lanes extending from Maliha Road towards the intersection with Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Road. According to Eng. Yousef Khamis Al Othmani, Chairman of the Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority, construction will commence immediately and is expected to be completed within a year. The project is designed to cut travel time by approximately nine minutes.
