## Major Investment for Urban Development

Abu Dhabi has announced a significant investment of Dh42 billion aimed at enhancing infrastructure, housing, and transport systems. This initiative is part of the emirate's strategy to position itself as a leader in sustainable urban development.

## Infrastructure and Housing Expansion

The Department of Municipalities and Transport has approved nearly 190,000 housing units as part of ongoing urban growth plans. In 2025, the department marked a milestone in institutional development, introducing new programs to enhance government services across Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, and Al Dhafra.

## Lifestyle and Community Projects

Under the Lifestyle Strategy, over 60 projects worth Dh12 billion have been completed, including the development of parks, sports facilities, schools, mosques, and community councils. The emirate has also expanded its network of walking and cycling paths.

Abu Dhabi has launched the "Binaa" digital platform to streamline regulatory services and expedite project approvals. The use of AI-powered systems in the vehicle fleet aims to boost operational efficiency.

## Green Transport Initiatives

The Integrated Transport Centre is advancing eco-friendly transport solutions, converting Bus Route 65 to hydrogen and electric power. The emirate plans to transform Abu Dhabi Island into a green public transport zone by 2030 and has introduced Level 4 autonomous vehicles.

## Waste Management and Real Estate Growth

Abu Dhabi has achieved a 94% diversion of non-liquid operational waste from landfills, aligning with circular economy goals. The real estate sector saw Dh142 billion in transactions in 2025, with significant foreign investment.
