UAE announces extension of e-invoicing provider deadline to October 2026

## Deadline Extension for e-Invoicing Providers

The UAE Ministry of Finance has announced an extension for appointing Accredited Service Providers (ASPs) for e-invoicing. The new deadline is October 30, 2026, moved from the previous date of July 31, 2026. This extension applies to businesses with annual revenues exceeding Dh50 million.

## Market Readiness and Pricing Concerns

The decision to extend the deadline follows a thorough review of market readiness and feedback from the business community. The Ministry aims to provide more technical options and competitive pricing. Currently, 32 service providers have been approved, with more in the final stages of accreditation.

## White-Label Model for Local Firms

In addition to the deadline extension, the Ministry has introduced a white-label model. This allows UAE companies to collaborate with international service providers, facilitating knowledge transfer and enhancing local capabilities.

## Compliance Timeline Unchanged

Despite the extension for appointing ASPs, the mandatory implementation deadline for the e-invoicing system remains January 1, 2027. The Ministry emphasizes its commitment to a stable regulatory environment to ensure a smooth transition and improved tax compliance across the UAE.
