Bahrain confirms IRGC, Wilayat Al Faqih links in alleged terror and espionage case

## Allegations of Terror and Espionage

Bahrain's Ministry of Interior has revealed the discovery of a network allegedly linked to Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). This group is accused of engaging in organized terrorist activities targeting the Shia community within Bahrain.

## Ideological Connections

The ministry claims the network is ideologically tied to the Guardianship of the Jurist, involving individuals from a dissolved clerical council. These members are said to have formed a terrorist organization and engaged in espionage for Iran.

## Arrests and Investigations

Authorities have arrested 41 individuals connected to this network. The arrests stem from ongoing investigations into the group's external links and financial activities associated with the IRGC. Legal proceedings are currently in progress.

## Regional Support

In response to these developments, the UAE has expressed solidarity with Bahrain. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the UAE's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, commended Bahrain's security efforts and emphasized the importance of regional cooperation to address security threats.
