## Expanding Green Spaces

Dibba Al Hisn Municipality has successfully planted over 55,000 seedlings in the first four months of 2026. This initiative aims to enhance green spaces and promote environmental sustainability in Sharjah. The project aligns with the vision of His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammad Al Qasimi to increase green coverage across the emirate.

## Diverse Planting Efforts

The campaign included planting 44,850 seasonal flowers, along with ground covers, shrubs, and trees in residential and public areas. Additionally, 7,616 shrubs and numerous trees were added to the city's landscape, contributing to plant diversity and green expansion.

## Strategic Urban Development

Khadija Najeeb, Director of the Agriculture Department, emphasized the use of modern agricultural practices and advanced irrigation technologies. The focus is on selecting plant species that thrive in the local environment, ensuring sustainable growth and reduced water usage.

## Enhancing Quality of Life

Talib Abdullah Al Yahyai, Director of Dibba Al Hisn Municipality, highlighted the strategic priority of expanding green areas to improve the city's attractiveness and residents' quality of life. The municipality continues to implement innovative planting methods as part of an integrated urban project supporting sustainability and balanced urban planning.
