## Relief Package Overview

The Central Bank of the UAE has announced a Dh6.2 billion relief package to assist customers and key sectors affected by economic challenges. This initiative aims to bolster the resilience of financial institutions and provide support to those impacted.

## Beneficiaries

A total of 65,379 customers have benefited from this package. This includes 60,559 individuals, 4,335 small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and 485 large companies. Priority sectors such as hospitality, transport, and entertainment have been specifically targeted.

## Financial Sector Growth

Between March 1 and May 1, 2026, the UAE banking sector experienced growth, with total assets increasing by 2.1%, loans by 3.2%, and deposits by 1.9%. The monetary base coverage ratio reached 115.3% during this period.

## Support Measures

The support package allows affected businesses to defer loan repayments for up to six months without being classified as in default. It also includes the suspension of interest and fees on affected facilities, alongside continued credit financing for priority sectors.

## Eligibility Criteria

Eligible entities include large corporations, SMEs, and individuals impacted by economic disruptions, with no minimum loan size required to qualify for the support package. Priority is given to sectors like hospitality and transport.
