Missing South African hotel owner found dead inside crocodile

## Tragic Discovery in Komati River

The remains of Gabriel Batista, a 59-year-old hotel owner from South Africa, were discovered inside a crocodile. Batista went missing after attempting to cross a flooded bridge near the Komati River, which is known for its crocodile population.

## Recovery Operation

Authorities conducted a complex operation to track and capture the 15-foot crocodile suspected of attacking Batista. The animal was shot by a police marksman from a helicopter and then transported to Kruger National Park for examination. Inside, investigators found human remains and a ring identified as Batista's.

## Concerns Over Additional Victims

Alongside Batista's ring, six pairs of shoes were found in the crocodile, raising fears that there may be more victims. Police are investigating whether other people might have been attacked by crocodiles in the area.

## Uncertain Circumstances

It remains unclear if Batista was alive when the crocodile attacked him. Authorities are also considering the possibility that other animals may have consumed parts of his remains.
