Dubai’s Emirates airline restores 96% of its global network

## Near-Full Restoration of Services

Emirates airline has successfully reinstated 96% of its global network, following disruptions earlier this year. The airline now operates flights to 137 destinations across 72 countries, marking a significant recovery in its operations.

## Increased Capacity and Options

Currently, Emirates offers over 1,300 weekly flights, which is 75% of its capacity before the disruptions. The airline is enhancing its services by providing more flights and seating options, reinforcing Dubai's status as a key international travel hub.

## Passenger and Cargo Traffic

During the disruption period from March 1 to April 30, Emirates managed to transport 4.7 million passengers. Meanwhile, Dubai International Airport (DXB) recorded 18.6 million passengers in the first quarter of 2026, despite a 20.6% decrease compared to the previous year.

## Flexible Travel Options

Emirates is offering flexible travel options, including one free date change for bookings made from April 2. Additionally, the Dubai Connect program provides complimentary hotel stays and other amenities for passengers with long layovers in Dubai.

## Impact on Dubai Airports

Despite regional airspace challenges, Dubai airports remained operational, handling 6 million passengers and 213,000 tonnes of cargo by the end of April. India, Saudi Arabia, and the UK were among the top markets for DXB, with London being the busiest city destination.
