## Supporting Local SMEs
The Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development (KFED) is actively promoting Emirati entrepreneurship at the Make it in the Emirates 2026 event. Held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre from May 4 to 7, the event aims to enhance the UAE's entrepreneurial ecosystem and industrial sector.
## Highlighting Success Stories
KFED's pavilion showcases seven successful Emirati small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) from diverse sectors like agri-tech, AI, manufacturing, and food production. These companies exemplify the UAE's growing industrial diversity and strength.
## On-the-Spot Financing
A notable feature is the "Funding on the Spot" initiative, allowing entrepreneurs to apply for financing during the event. This service includes quick eligibility checks and initial approvals for selected projects. Additionally, the "We Listen" service offers personalized advisory sessions.
## New Partnerships
KFED is signing agreements with partners such as Etihad Airways and TAQA Distribution to expand support for entrepreneurs. These partnerships aim to provide SMEs with access to supply chains, research support, and market expansion opportunities.
## Encouraging Growth
Mouza Obaid Al Nasri, KFED's CEO, emphasized the fund's role in fostering business growth and contributing to the national economy. The focus is on creating an integrated system that links funding with skills, knowledge, and market access.
## Connecting Entrepreneurs
