## Passing of a Musical Legend

Renowned Egyptian singer Hany Shaker, affectionately known as the "Prince of Arab Singing," has died at the age of 74. His passing follows a prolonged illness, with his health declining during treatment in France.

## Health Struggles

Shaker's medical journey included severe colon bleeding and respiratory issues, necessitating blood transfusions and specialized care. Although there were initial signs of recovery, a sudden relapse led to respiratory failure, resulting in his admission to intensive care.

## A Storied Career

Born in Cairo on December 21, 1952, Shaker emerged as a leading voice in Arabic music during the 1960s. Officially launching his singing career in 1972, he was discovered by composer Mohammed El Mougy. Over the decades, Shaker released over 600 songs and nearly 29 albums, collaborating with prominent poets and composers.
