## New Advertising Regulations
Saudi Arabia has implemented new rules to enhance transparency in the real estate sector. These regulations prohibit the use of government names, logos, or identities in property advertisements without legal approval. The aim is to protect market participants and boost confidence in property transactions.
## Licensing and Compliance
The Real Estate General Authority's board has approved these measures as part of the Real Estate Brokerage Law. Advertisers must now adhere to strict guidelines, ensuring that all property ads are accurate and not misleading. Licenses for advertising will be revoked if misused or if they contain false information.
## Content Restrictions
The regulations also impose content restrictions. Advertisements must not include deceptive claims or misrepresent property details. Additionally, using unregistered contact details or publishing ads without a license is prohibited. Violators will face penalties as outlined in the Real Estate Brokerage regulations.
## Digital and Traditional Media
These rules apply to all advertising channels, including social media, print, and digital platforms. Property listings must include essential details like type, location, size, and value. Advertisers are required to disclose any existing rights and provide accurate contact information.
## Ensuring Accuracy
For online listings, property information must be directly integrated with the authority’s systems to ensure consistency. Only property owners, their representatives, or licensed brokers can apply for advertising licenses, with proof of ownership often required.
## Broader Compliance
Advertisers must pay fees through approved channels and comply with broader regulatory standards. Ads must be removed once their purpose is fulfilled or the license expires.
