## Minimum Salary Requirement
The UAE has mandated a minimum salary of Dh6,000 for Emirati employees working in the private sector. This regulation is part of efforts to ensure fair compensation and job security for Emiratis.
## Compliance and Enforcement
The Emirati Talent Competitiveness Council has warned that companies failing to comply with this salary requirement are violating labor laws. Emirati workers have access to complaint channels, including the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, to report any breaches.
## Role of Nafis
Nafis, a program supporting Emirati employment, collaborates with the ministry to address grievances and uphold workers' rights. The program emphasizes that employer-paid salaries should be the main source of income, with Nafis support being temporary and subject to change.
## Employment Growth
The initiative has led to significant growth in Emirati employment within the private sector, with 176,000 Emiratis now working across over 32,000 companies. This achievement surpasses targets set for the program.
## Future Plans
Looking ahead, the council plans to continue investing in national talent and enhancing the competitiveness of Emiratis in the private sector, with goals extending to 2040.
