PureHealth entities secure global accreditation for clinical research standards

## Accreditation Achievement

PureHealth's SEHA and Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City have been awarded full accreditation by the Association for the Accreditation of Human Research Protection Programs (AAHRPP). This recognition is valid for three years and is considered one of the highest global standards in human research protection.

## Strengthening Research in Abu Dhabi

The accreditation confirms that these entities adhere to strict international standards for ethics, safety, and oversight in clinical research. The research activities are conducted under the Abu Dhabi Health Research Centre, which coordinates clinical studies across 16 hospitals and laboratories in the region. Currently, the centre supports over 200 active studies, ranging from early-stage trials to advanced clinical research.

## Global Recognition and Impact

The AAHRPP accreditation process involves a comprehensive review that exceeds basic regulatory requirements, focusing on participant protection and high standards in study design. With this achievement, PureHealth joins a select group of institutions worldwide, enhancing Abu Dhabi's reputation as a hub for healthcare research.

## Future Prospects

This accreditation is expected to attract more global clinical trials to Abu Dhabi, as research sponsors often seek institutions that meet recognized ethical and operational standards. It aligns with the emirate's broader healthcare strategy, which emphasizes research, innovation, and improved patient outcomes. The achievement is anticipated to foster international partnerships and expand research opportunities in the region.
