## Tackle Large Attachments
One of the main culprits of storage issues on iPhones is large attachments in the Messages app. To address this, navigate to Settings, then General, and select iPhone Storage. Here, you’ll find a section called Review Large Attachments, which lists all stored files by size. You can swipe left to delete individual items or use the Edit option to remove multiple files at once.
## Clean Up Specific Conversations
If certain conversations are particularly cluttered, you can clear them directly. Open the Messages app, select a conversation, and tap the contact or group name at the top. This will show you all images and links shared in that thread. Use the Edit function to select and delete unwanted items. This method is especially useful for group chats or threads with frequent media sharing.
## Enable Auto-Delete for Messages
To prevent storage issues from recurring, consider setting your messages to auto-delete. Go to Settings, then Messages, and choose Keep Messages. You can opt to automatically delete messages after 30 days or one year. When you change this setting, your iPhone will prompt you to delete older messages immediately, which can help free up space quickly.
