Q Mobility expands paid parking in new commercial sectors of Abu Dhabi

## New Parking Initiative

Q Mobility is set to implement paid parking in additional commercial areas of Mohamed Bin Zayed City, Abu Dhabi, starting May 6, 2026. This marks the third phase of their parking system expansion, overseen by the Integrated Transport Centre (ITC) of the Department of Municipalities and Transport.

## Targeted Areas

The new phase will cover sectors ME9 and ME12, which are experiencing increased commercial activity and traffic. The initiative aims to streamline parking management, reduce random parking, and facilitate access to businesses and services.

## Parking Details

A total of 10,205 parking spaces will be available, with ME9 offering 3,219 spaces and ME12 providing 6,986 spaces. The plan includes designated spots for People of Determination, reflecting a commitment to inclusivity.

## Payment Options

Parking fees are set at Dh2 per hour. Payments can be made through digital platforms like the "Darb" and "TAMM" apps, SMS, or local payment machines, ensuring convenience for users.

## Previous Phases

The first phase, which began in December 2025, was free and included sectors ME9, ME10, ME11, and ME12. The second phase, launched in April 2026, introduced paid parking in ME10, ME11, and other high-demand areas.

## Strategic Goals

This expansion is part of Q Mobility's broader strategy to enhance traffic flow and urban mobility in Abu Dhabi, supporting a sustainable and efficient urban environment.
