Dubai Silicon Oasis: How a 23-year-old built a grassroots Sunday community around runs and breakfast

## A Passion for Running and Community

Mridul Manoj, a 23-year-old running enthusiast, has successfully established a vibrant running community in Dubai Silicon Oasis. Known as "More Life," the group emphasizes health, adventure, and joy, inspired by one of Manoj's favorite projects by Drake.

## Growing Participation

The club, which started eight weeks ago, has seen a steady increase in participation. Initially attracting five runners, the group now consistently draws around 23 participants each Sunday morning. The community's growth is also reflected in its WhatsApp group, which has about 45 members.

## Inclusive and Flexible Format

The club offers two options: a 3km walk and a 5km run, making it accessible to beginners and those seeking a social experience rather than a competitive one. Manoj stresses the importance of inclusivity, encouraging participants to join without pressure to perform.

## Building Connections Over Breakfast

After the run, participants enjoy a hearty breakfast, fostering camaraderie and friendship. Manoj finds joy in seeing people return each week, balancing their busy schedules to be part of the community.

## Organic Growth and Future Plans

The club's growth has been largely organic, fueled by word-of-mouth and social media. While monetization is not a current focus, Manoj is open to exploring possibilities in the future. For now, the club remains a passion project, offering a sense of connection and motivation to its members.
