## New Investment Platform
Emirates Islamic has launched a digital service allowing customers to trade gold and silver via its mobile banking app. This marks a first for an Islamic bank in the UAE, offering a Sharia-compliant way to invest in precious metals.
## Accessible and Secure
The service is designed to simplify and secure the process of investing in gold and silver. Customers can manage their investments through the EI+ Mobile Banking App, which features a dedicated 'Wealth' section for trading certified physical bars. The platform offers a low entry point and flexible selling options.
## Quality and Security Standards
All gold and silver available through the app meet international and UAE quality standards. Gold bars comply with the London Bullion Market Association and Dubai Good Delivery standards, while silver bars meet UAE Good Delivery requirements. The metals are stored in high-security vaults and sourced from trusted refiners.
## Digital Innovation in Islamic Finance
Mohammad Kamran Wajid, Deputy CEO of Emirates Islamic, emphasized the bank's commitment to digital innovation. The new platform aligns with Shari’ah principles and offers a modern, secure investment method. Ebrahim Qayed, Head of Treasury and Markets, highlighted the product's role in helping customers manage their finances confidently.
## Expanding Digital Services
This initiative is part of Emirates Islamic's broader strategy to enhance digital services and cater to evolving customer needs. The introduction of online precious metal trading strengthens the bank's position in Islamic banking, providing more options for investors across the UAE.
