EHS completes over 32,000 health screenings in 2025

## Comprehensive Health Initiative

Emirates Health Services (EHS) successfully completed 32,941 health screenings in 2025 through its 'Itmi’nan' programme. This initiative aims to enhance early detection of chronic diseases such as heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, and certain cancers.

## Wide Range of Services

The programme offers a variety of health checks, including assessments for heart and lung health, osteoporosis, and mental health issues like depression. Vaccinations are also part of the screening process. The service is free for UAE nationals, GCC citizens, and People of Determination.

## Screening Process

Participants begin by completing a risk assessment questionnaire online. If necessary, they are referred to primary healthcare centers for further screening, which takes about 20 minutes.

## High Participation Rates

The Family Health Promotion Center led with 9,157 screenings, followed by Abdullah bin Ali Al Sharhan Health Center and Al Muhaisnah Health Center with 4,455 and 4,365 screenings, respectively. Other centers also reported significant activity, and a mobile unit conducted 610 screenings.

## Focus on Preventive Care

EHS emphasizes the importance of early screening to identify health risks before symptoms develop, facilitating quicker treatment and better health outcomes. The programme is part of a broader strategy to enhance preventive healthcare and reduce the impact of chronic diseases.

## Future Plans

Authorities plan to expand the programme and encourage more individuals to participate in regular health checks, aiming to improve community health and lessen the burden of chronic diseases.
