Sheikh Hamdan reviews RTA's new smart mobility projects in Dubai

## Overview of New Projects

Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, recently assessed several innovative transport projects by the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA). These initiatives aim to enhance travel efficiency, safety, and sustainability in Dubai.

## Key Initiatives

During his visit, Sheikh Hamdan was briefed on three major projects. The first is a rapid intervention vehicle designed for emergencies, particularly during heavy rainfalls. This vehicle can pump 60,000 liters of water per minute, significantly improving response times in flood situations.

The second project is a smart bus station nearing completion on Sheikh Zayed Road. This facility will offer digital, contactless services and utilize solar energy and artificial intelligence to manage operations and enhance passenger comfort.

The third initiative focuses on expanding facilities for cyclists and e-scooter users. New parking stations with shaded areas and charging points are being introduced to encourage the use of these modes of transport.

## Future Mobility Vision

Sheikh Hamdan emphasized that these projects reflect Dubai's commitment to integrating technology into its transport systems, aiming to create a more efficient and sustainable urban mobility environment. The RTA's efforts are part of a broader strategy to adopt global best practices and prepare for future challenges in transportation.
