## Pilgrimage Coordination
Iran is set to send approximately 30,000 pilgrims to Saudi Arabia for this year's Hajj. This follows a new agreement between the two nations, with departures beginning soon. The arrangement was confirmed by Akbar Rezaei, a senior official in Iran's Hajj and Pilgrimage Organisation.
## Preparations and Logistics
The pilgrimage has been meticulously planned in collaboration with Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Hajj and Umrah. Iran has organized 236 new groups for the pilgrimage, ensuring a structured and efficient process. Field preparations in Mecca are underway, with coordination between Iranian and Saudi authorities to facilitate smooth operations.
## Accommodation and Services
Iranian pilgrims will be accommodated in 16 hotels in Medina and 24 in Mecca, with improved lodging standards. The stay in Medina is extended to six nights and seven days. Comprehensive medical care will be available throughout the pilgrimage.
## Travel Arrangements
Flights for the pilgrims are ready, pending final civil aviation approvals. Contingency plans for land transport are also in place if needed. The first groups are expected to arrive in Medina on April 27.
