Abu Dhabi outlines four violations under road toll system

## Overview of Violations

Abu Dhabi's Integrated Transport Centre (ITC) has identified four main violations under the city's road toll system, known as "Darb." These include failing to register a vehicle, maintaining insufficient balance, tampering with number plates, and damaging toll infrastructure.

## Registration and Balance Requirements

Motorists must register their vehicles within 10 working days after first passing through a toll gate. If not registered, fines start at Dh100 and increase with each subsequent day of violation. Additionally, vehicles passing through tolls with insufficient funds in their Darb wallet incur a Dh50 fine after a five-day grace period.

## Serious Offenses

More severe penalties apply for tampering with license plates or damaging toll equipment, each carrying a Dh10,000 fine. These responsibilities fall on the vehicle owner.

## Toll Gate Locations

The toll gates are strategically placed on major bridges leading into Abu Dhabi, including Sheikh Zayed Bridge, Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Bridge, Al Maqta Bridge, and Mussafah Bridge. These locations are key entry points to the city.
