## Aldar's Strategic Acquisition
Aldar Properties has expanded its industrial and logistics portfolio by acquiring assets from KEZAD Group, a subsidiary of AD Ports Group, for Dh650 million. This acquisition adds 163,000 square meters of warehouse space in Abu Dhabi's Khalifa Economic Zones.
## Key Details of the Deal
The newly acquired assets include three multi-let warehouses in the Al Ma’mourah cluster, which are 97% occupied by around 80 tenants from various sectors such as food, logistics, and technology. Notable tenants include DHL and Spinneys. Aldar will manage these facilities, enhancing its logistics capabilities.
## Expanding Portfolio
This acquisition follows Aldar's previous purchase of Noon and Emtelle warehouses in November 2025. With this deal, Aldar's industrial and logistics portfolio now exceeds 700,000 square meters, with plans to expand further.
## Strategic Importance
Jassem Saleh Busaibe, CEO of Aldar Investment, emphasized the strategic significance of KEZAD as a logistics hub and the confidence in Abu Dhabi's economic prospects. The acquisition aligns with Aldar's goal to build a robust industrial platform.
## AD Ports Group's Perspective
For AD Ports Group, the sale is part of a capital recycling strategy, allowing them to reinvest in high-return opportunities. Abdullah Al Hameli, CEO of the Economic Cities and Free Zones Cluster, highlighted the transaction's role in strengthening their asset monetization model.
## Location and Future Plans
KEZAD's proximity to Khalifa Port and major transport links enhances its appeal as a logistics center. This acquisition supports Aldar's broader strategy to grow its income-generating real estate assets, which currently total over Dh49 billion.
