Sharjah approves study for air taxis and cargo services

## Feasibility Study Approved

Sharjah's Executive Council has given the green light for a feasibility study on air taxis and cargo services. This initiative is part of the emirate's strategy to enhance its status as a regional aviation hub. The decision was made during a meeting chaired by Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah.

## Sustainable Transport Solutions

The proposed project aims to align with global trends in sustainability and advanced technologies. It seeks to improve air connectivity between cities and strengthen Sharjah's transport infrastructure. The council plans to collaborate with international partners to implement these modern air transport solutions.

## Additional Council Decisions

In the same session, the council discussed government performance and public policies. They also approved the first batch of land allocations for 2026, benefiting 1,200 Emiratis with residential and investment plots. This move is in line with the directives of His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Ruler of Sharjah.
