## International Fleet Review and Exercise Milan

The Indian Navy is hosting a significant naval event, the International Fleet Review (IFR) and Exercise Milan, in Visakhapatnam. Naval ships from Indonesia, the UAE, and Bangladesh have arrived to participate. The Indonesian frigate KRI Bung Tomo-357, UAE's corvette Al-Emarat, and Bangladesh's frigate BNS Somudra Avijan are among the vessels joining the Indian fleet.

## Global Participation

This year's IFR is notable for its extensive international involvement, with 71 ships from 65 countries, including 19 foreign warships. The event is one of the largest of its kind in India, showcasing a diverse array of naval capabilities. The President of India will review the fleet at sea on February 18.

## MILAN Exercises

The MILAN exercises, which began in 1995, have grown significantly, now involving navies from 65 countries. The event fosters professional interactions and strengthens international naval cooperation. An International City Parade will also take place, featuring foreign bands and numerous contingents.

## Cultural Exchange

In addition to the naval activities, the Indian Navy has inaugurated the MILAN village, an experience zone designed to promote camaraderie among delegates and naval personnel from over 70 nations. This initiative highlights the spirit of friendship and collaboration that underpins the event.
