Pakistan rolls out Hajj flights with enhanced facilities

## Launch of Hajj Flights

Pakistan has commenced its Hajj flight operations, facilitating the travel of pilgrims to Saudi Arabia with improved services. The first group of pilgrims departed from Islamabad International Airport, with the initial flight from Sialkot carrying over 390 individuals to Madinah.

## Expanded Road to Makkah Project

The Road to Makkah initiative has been extended to Lahore, joining Karachi and Islamabad in streamlining travel for over 95,000 pilgrims. This project allows pilgrims to complete Saudi immigration processes at their departure airports, simplifying their arrival in Saudi Arabia.

## Modern Services for Pilgrims

Pilgrims are being provided with e-SIM cards, modern accommodations, and access to high-speed train services between Makkah and Madinah. Additionally, rooms have been pre-allocated to ensure smooth check-ins, and Nusuk cards are issued for access to religious sites.

## Pre-Hajj Operations

Pakistan's pre-Hajj operations have also begun, with 1,357 pilgrims arriving in Madinah. They were transported to the Markaziyah area near Masjid al-Nabawi, where accommodations were pre-arranged. A welcome reception was organized, and pilgrims visited Masjid al-Nabawi to begin their spiritual journey.

## Future Plans

Under this year's Hajj operation, more than 119,000 pilgrims will travel under the government scheme. Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) is set to operate numerous flights from major cities, with the pre-Hajj operation continuing until May 21. Additional flights are scheduled as the pilgrimage season progresses.
