## Eligibility for Financial Assistance
Filipino workers in the UAE affected by the current Middle East situation can apply for a one-time financial aid of $200. This initiative, led by the Migrant Workers Office (MWO) in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, aims to support overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) facing job disruptions or income loss.
## Who Can Apply
The assistance targets land-based OFWs with employment visas or Emirates IDs issued in Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Fujairah, Ras Al Khaimah, and Umm Al Quwain. Workers must still be residing in the UAE and demonstrate that their employment has been impacted. Those with visas from other emirates but working in the Northern Emirates may also qualify if they provide proof of employment location.
## Required Documentation
Applicants need to submit a request for assistance form, a passport bio page copy, and proof of overseas employment, such as an employment contract or Emirates ID. Evidence of work disruption, like employer certification, reduced income payslips, termination notices, or visa cancellation documents, is also necessary. Personal statements are accepted if certified by the MWO Dubai labor attaché or a recognized Filipino community leader.
## Application Process
Applications are processed online through the MWO's official website and Facebook page. Workers are advised not to visit the MWO office in person, as the digital system is designed to handle applications efficiently.
## Receiving the Aid
Once approved, the financial assistance will be distributed via money transfer services, allowing beneficiaries quick access to the funds. The MWO encourages affected OFWs to prepare the necessary documents and stay updated on announcements regarding the application and distribution process.
