## Eco-Friendly Progress
Abu Dhabi's green bus fleet has reached a significant milestone by covering over 1.3 million kilometers using eco-friendly technologies. This achievement is part of the Emirate's broader efforts to promote sustainable public transport and aligns with its Net Zero 2050 goals.
## Sustainable Transport Initiatives
The fleet, managed by the Integrated Transport Centre (ITC), includes buses powered by hydrogen fuel cells and electric energy. This transition to low-emission vehicles underscores Abu Dhabi's commitment to adopting clean technologies in the transport sector.
## Leadership Remarks
Dr. Abdullah Hamad Al Ghafli, Acting Director General of the ITC, emphasized that this milestone is a testament to the success of investing in sustainable transport solutions. He highlighted the benefits of these technologies in improving operational efficiency and enhancing user experience.
## Employee Engagement
In conjunction with World Public Transport Day, the ITC launched the "Public Transport to Work" initiative. This program encourages employees to use public transport for commuting, aiming to reduce traffic congestion and carbon emissions while promoting sustainable mobility patterns.
