Dubai South rolls out more incentives for free zone firms

## New Incentives Unveiled

Dubai South has launched a series of incentives aimed at reducing costs and promoting growth for companies within its free zone. These measures include support for new company formations, assistance with license renewals, and waivers for late renewal fines.

## Strengthening Free Zone Competitiveness

The initiative is part of a broader effort by Dubai authorities to enhance the competitiveness of the emirate's free zones. The Dubai Free Zones Council is actively working to bolster the resilience of these zones amidst global economic challenges and geopolitical uncertainties.

## Support for SMEs

Nabil Al Kindi, Group CEO of Dubai South, emphasized the commitment to supporting the business community. The new incentives build on previous efforts to assist small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) at the Business Park, aligning with the "Dubai South in Motion" initiative.

## Regional Competition

The announcement comes as competition among regional free zones intensifies, with many offering incentives to attract new business setups. Dubai South's latest measures aim to sustain business momentum and reinforce investor confidence.

## Future Developments

In addition to these incentives, Dubai South Properties has awarded a Dh2 billion contract for the development of the 'Hayat' project, a luxury community covering 10 million square feet. Construction is expected to begin in the second quarter of 2026, with initial phases completing by 2028.
