## Initiative Overview

Sharjah's Environment and Protected Areas Authority (EPAA) recently celebrated the achievements of UAE schools participating in the "My Green Environment is My Future" initiative. This program, which ran from October 2025 to January 2026, involved 70 schools and nurseries, with 48 actively engaging in environmental activities.

## Program Goals and Activities

The initiative aimed to enhance sustainability awareness among students by integrating classroom learning with practical activities. It covered all educational stages, from kindergartens to secondary schools, and focused on equipping students with the skills needed to tackle environmental challenges.

## Educational Approach

The program was tailored to different educational levels. Kindergarten students learned basic environmental concepts through interactive methods. Cycle 1 students focused on natural resources, while Cycle 2 participants engaged in advanced learning, including field visits. Secondary students explored global issues like climate change, emphasizing critical thinking.

## Recognition and Awards

During a ceremony at Al Dhaid Wildlife Museum, EPAA honored various schools for their outstanding projects. In the kindergarten category, Umm Al Quwain Kindergarten 3 took first place. Emirates Kindergarten and School in Ras Al Khaimah won in Cycle 1, while Al Bardi Girls School in Sharjah led Cycle 2.
