## AI Workforce Transformation Programme
Dubai has unveiled a new initiative aimed at training 50,000 government employees in artificial intelligence. This effort, known as the AI Workforce Transformation Programme (AI+), seeks to modernize public services and enhance operational efficiency.
## Collaborative Effort
The programme is a collaborative venture led by Digital Dubai, in partnership with the Dubai Government Human Resources Department and the Dubai Centre for Artificial Intelligence under the Dubai Future Foundation. It aims to prepare government staff for a future where AI is integral to decision-making and service delivery.
## Practical Skills Development
The initiative focuses on equipping employees with practical AI skills tailored to their job roles. Training will range from senior leadership to frontline staff, ensuring that AI becomes a practical tool in government operations rather than just a technical concept.
## Leadership and Innovation
Hamad Obaid Al Mansoori, Director General of Digital Dubai, emphasized the shift towards employees actively contributing to smarter services. Abdulla Ali bin Zayed Al Falasi, Director General of the Dubai Government Human Resources Department, highlighted the importance of investing in people to support innovation and continuous learning.
## Tailored Training Tracks
The programme offers various learning tracks based on job responsibilities. Senior leaders will engage in AI strategy sessions, while Chief AI Officers will focus on policy application. Product and service owners will learn to implement AI solutions, and managers will integrate AI into team operations.
## Strengthening Digital Skills
This initiative is expected to enhance digital skills across government departments, accelerate service delivery, and support long-term innovation, aligning with Dubai's vision of a technology-driven government.
