## Strongest Cyclone of the Year

With sustained winds reaching up to 150 mph (240 kph), Sinlaku is the strongest tropical cyclone on Earth this year. By late Wednesday, winds had decreased slightly to 125 mph (200 kph) as the storm moved northward.

## Ongoing Recovery Efforts

Local officials are assessing the damage, which includes flooding, uprooted trees, and downed power lines. The American Red Cross is providing shelter for over 1,000 residents across the affected regions.
