UAE adjusts remote learning assessment rules with no impact on final results

## New Assessment Approach

The UAE Ministry of Education has updated the evaluation system for certain subjects taught through remote learning. These changes are designed to ensure fair grading without affecting students' final results.

## Subject Categories

The revised system applies to subjects classified under the 'B group' in the distance learning framework. These subjects are divided into two categories. The first category includes subjects that will not be assessed during the third academic term due to the suspension of in-person classes. Instead, final grades for these subjects will be based on students' performance in the first and second terms.

The second category consists of subjects that will continue to be assessed as usual. Students will be evaluated through ongoing activities, projects, and assignments, which teachers will manage flexibly and record using approved learning management systems.

## Ensuring Fairness

The ministry's decision aims to support students and maintain educational continuity during remote learning periods. This approach ensures that students are not disadvantaged by the shift to online education.
