145 elite riders set for eighth edition of UAE Tour 2026

## Event Overview

The UAE Tour 2026, the Middle East's sole UCI WorldTour race, is set to commence in the Al Dhafra Region. This eighth edition will feature 145 elite cyclists from 21 international teams, covering a total distance of 1,004.2 kilometers over seven stages. The event is organized by the Abu Dhabi Sports Council and sponsored by AD Ports Group.

## Key Participants

Notable riders include Remco Evenepoel from Red Bull Bora Hansgrohe, Isaac del Toro of UAE Team XRG, Jonathan Milan of Lidl Trek, Joshua Tarling of Ineos Grenadiers, and Lennert Van Eetvelt of Lotto Intermarché. These athletes have expressed their readiness to compete in this prestigious event.

## Race Stages

The race will traverse diverse terrains, including mountain climbs and urban roads, showcasing new landmarks across the UAE. The first stage begins in Madinat Zayed Council, Al Dhafra, and ends at Liwa Fort, covering 144 km. The second stage is an individual time trial on Al Hudayriyat Island over 12.2 km. Subsequent stages include routes from Umm Al Qaiwain to Jebel Mobrah, a Fujairah stage, and a Dubai stage from Al Mamzar to Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University. The penultimate stage takes place in Al Ain, concluding at Jebel Hafeet, while the final stage wraps up in Abu Dhabi City.

The 21 teams include Alpecin-Deceuninck, Bahrain Victorious, Decathlon CMA CGM, EF Education-EasyPost, Groupama-FDJ, Ineos Grenadiers, Lidl-Trek, Lotto Intermarché, Modern Adventure Pro, Movistar, NSN, Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team, Red Bull Bora Hansgrohe, Soudal Quick-Step, Jayco AlUla, Team Picnic PostNL, Team Visma | Lease a Bike, Tudor Pro Cycling Team, UAE Team XRG, Uno-X Mobility, and XDS Astana Team.

## Jerseys and Technology

The race features four leader jerseys: Red for the overall leader, Green for points classification, White for the best young rider, and Black for intermediate sprints. The Velon system will provide real-time data on speed, power, and cadence, enhancing the live broadcast and ensuring rider safety with advanced tracking and emergency alerts.
