## Trial Begins for Ugandan Man Accused of Killing Toddlers
A Ugandan man, Christopher Okello Onyum, is on trial for allegedly stabbing four young children to death at a kindergarten in Ggaba. The incident, which took place on April 2, has shocked the nation.
## Details of the Incident
Onyum, who was apprehended while attempting to flee, has pleaded not guilty to the charges of murder. Prosecutors claim he confessed to the killings, believing they were part of a "human sacrifice" to gain wealth. The victims were aged between 15 months and two and a half years.
## Witness Testimonies
During the trial, a staff member from the Ggaba Early Childhood Development Centre recounted the harrowing events. She described seeing Onyum with a knife and attempting to intervene by throwing a bicycle at him. Parents of the victims also shared their emotional testimonies, detailing their last moments with their children and the devastating news of the attack.
## Court Proceedings
The trial is being held in specially set-up tents to accommodate the public interest. The hearing has been adjourned until Wednesday as the court continues to gather evidence and testimonies.
