## New Community Movement
A new initiative, El Nas Lel Nas, has been launched in the UAE to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The movement, meaning "People for People," is a collaboration between Publsh Group and the news platform Lana. It aims to enhance the visibility and success of local businesses by engaging influential figures from various fields.
## Celebrity Involvement
The initiative brings together celebrities, business leaders, athletes, and creators who will voluntarily promote selected SMEs. Participants are encouraged to share their genuine experiences with these businesses, without any paid endorsements or promotional obligations. This approach is intended to foster authentic support for the SMEs.
## Economic Impact
Content shared under the hashtag #ElNasLelNas is expected to boost customer engagement and economic impact for participating businesses. The initiative is seen as a way to maintain the vibrancy of the UAE economy by supporting its small businesses.
## Application Process
SMEs facing challenging market conditions can apply to be part of the initiative during a 10-day open window. A panel will review applications and shortlist businesses based on their needs and potential for recovery.
## Importance of SMEs
Anil Bhoyrul, Managing Director at Lana, emphasized the vital role of SMEs in the UAE economy, noting that they make up 94% of companies and contribute significantly to the non-oil GDP. The initiative aims to channel influential voices to support these businesses.
## Notable Participants
Several well-known UAE personalities, including Mona Kattan, Zeina Khoury, and the Yaman brothers, have already joined the movement. They express a strong commitment to supporting the local economy and community.
Applications for El Nas Lel Nas are now open and can be submitted via elnaslelnas.ae.
