## What is the Nusuk Card?
The Nusuk card is a mandatory smart ID issued by Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Hajj and Umrah for all registered pilgrims attending Hajj 2026. This card serves as the primary identification throughout the pilgrimage, combining personal, medical, and accommodation details into one document. It allows access to key holy sites such as Mina, Arafat, and Muzdalifah, ensuring that each pilgrim is authorized and registered.
## Importance of the Nusuk Card
The Nusuk card is crucial for confirming a pilgrim's identity and legal authorization to perform Hajj. It stores essential personal and medical information, helping authorities and healthcare providers access it quickly if needed. The card also includes accommodation details, aiding in reuniting lost pilgrims with their groups. Additionally, it organizes transportation and links pilgrims to their service providers, facilitating access to various services during the pilgrimage.
## Using the Nusuk Card
Pilgrims must carry the Nusuk card at all times during their stay in Saudi Arabia. It is used for entering holy sites, boarding transportation, and accessing services. If a pilgrim loses the card, they can request a replacement through their group leader or use the digital version available via the Nusuk or Tawakkalna apps.
## Digital Access
Pilgrims can access a digital version of the Nusuk card through the Nusuk app, available globally, or the Tawakkalna app for those within Saudi Arabia. These apps provide additional features like Quran access, prayer times, and booking services.
## Mecca Entry Restrictions
From April 13, 2026, entry to Mecca is restricted to those with a valid Hajj permit, a Mecca-issued residency ID, or work permits for the holy sites. Umrah visa holders must leave Saudi Arabia by April 18, and Umrah permits are suspended from April 18 to May 31.
