## New Timings Announced
The Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority (SRTA), in collaboration with Sharjah Police, has introduced new truck movement schedules for Ramadan 2026. These changes aim to alleviate traffic congestion and enhance road safety during peak hours.
## Restricted Hours
Starting from the beginning of Ramadan, expected around February 18 or 19, heavy vehicles will face restrictions on several major roads. In Sharjah city, trucks will be banned from 6:30 am to 10 am and again from 2 pm to 8 pm. Similar restrictions apply to Al Dhaid Road and Emirates Road (E611), with additional limitations for vehicles traveling from Dubai towards Sharjah in the afternoon.
## Compliance Urged
Authorities have urged transport companies and truck drivers to adhere to these regulations, warning of penalties for violations. This initiative is part of Sharjah's annual traffic management plan for Ramadan, designed to accommodate changes in working hours and increased travel before iftar.
