## Strengthening India-UAE Relations

India's External Affairs Minister, S. Jaishankar, arrived in Abu Dhabi for a two-day official visit aimed at reinforcing the strategic partnership between India and the UAE. The visit, scheduled for April 11-12, 2026, focuses on enhancing cooperation in energy security amid ongoing tensions in West Asia.

## Energy Security and Regional Dynamics

The Ministry of External Affairs highlighted that the visit, along with that of Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Hardeep Singh Puri to other Gulf nations, is part of efforts to secure India's energy needs. These visits are conducted under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, emphasizing the importance of stable energy supplies.

## Support for Neighboring Countries

India is also extending its support to neighboring countries in their energy requirements. Recently, India supplied 38 metric tonnes of petroleum products to Sri Lanka. Additionally, India is working on a government-to-government agreement with Mauritius to supply oil and gas, aiming to bolster the island nation's energy security.
