## Rapid Growth in Digital Transactions
The UAE's instant payments platform, Aani, has achieved a significant milestone by surpassing 12.5 million users. This growth is part of a broader shift towards cashless transactions in the country. Aani, operated by Al Etihad Payments under the Central Bank of the UAE, has seen a sixfold increase in transaction volume over the past year.
## Integration Across Financial Institutions
Aani is now integrated with 74 licensed financial institutions, covering a substantial portion of banks, exchange houses, and digital wallets in the UAE. This extensive network facilitates seamless transactions and enhances the overall financial ecosystem.
## Enhancing User Experience
The platform's rapid adoption is attributed to its efficiency and security, with transactions completed in an average of three seconds. It supports various payment methods, including QR codes and mobile number transfers, and allows users to manage multiple accounts through a single app.
## Future Developments
Plans are underway to introduce new features such as cross-border payments and e-cheques, further supporting the UAE's digital economy. Aani's expansion into business-to-business payments is also set to improve cash flow for companies across the region.
