## New Blood Donation Initiative

Residents in five Dubai communities can now donate blood closer to home, thanks to the "My blood, for my country" campaign. This initiative, organized by Dubai Residential and Dubai Health, aims to collect over 200 units of blood as it expands to Shorooq, Ghoroob, The Gardens, Al Khail Gate, and International City.

## Community Engagement

The campaign began at Al Khail Gate, where 69 residents donated 60 units of blood on the first day. Medical teams ensured the donation process was safe and efficient. The initiative seeks to foster a culture of voluntary blood donation, enhancing community involvement and social responsibility.

## Organizational Support

Ahmed Al Suwaidi, managing director of Dubai Residential, emphasized the company's commitment to community well-being, stating that the campaign aligns with their vision of creating connected environments. Dr. Hiba Alhumaidan from Dubai Health highlighted the importance of collective efforts in maintaining healthcare services.

## Upcoming Events

The campaign will continue with events in Ghoroob and Shorooq on May 29, The Gardens on July 10, and International City on July 16. Residents are encouraged to participate and support the initiative as it reaches their neighborhoods.
