## Opening Rounds at Augusta National

The 2026 Masters Tournament is set to begin on April 9 at Augusta National, marking the 90th edition of this prestigious event. The tee times and groupings for the first two rounds have been officially announced.

## Featured Groups

Rory McIlroy will play alongside US Amateur champion Mason Howell and Players champion Cameron Young. They are scheduled to start at 18:31 GST on Thursday and will be the second-to-last group on Friday, teeing off at 21:44 GST.

Another notable group includes Scottie Scheffler, Robert MacIntyre, and Gary Woodland. Scheffler, who started the year strong, will be looking to regain form, while MacIntyre aims to become the latest left-hander to win at Augusta. Woodland remains a formidable long hitter on the tour.

Patrick Reed, Tommy Fleetwood, and Akshay Bhatia form another intriguing trio. Reed, a former Masters winner, is aiming to improve on last year's third-place finish. Fleetwood seeks another top-10 finish, and Bhatia enters with confidence after a recent victory.

Bryson DeChambeau, Matt Fitzpatrick, and Xander Schauffele are also grouped together. DeChambeau is looking for his third major win, Fitzpatrick has been in strong form, and Schauffele has consistently performed well at Augusta.

Finally, Jordan Spieth, Justin Rose, and Brooks Koepka will play together. Spieth is eager to return to top form, Rose is considered one of the best players yet to win a Masters, and Koepka has shown impressive ball striking in recent tournaments.
