## Incident on Al Khail Road

A recent accident on Al Khail Road in Dubai resulted in injuries to three individuals. The crash occurred when a driver stopped abruptly in the middle of the road to retrieve a fallen number plate, leading to a collision involving three vehicles.

## New Traffic Penalties

In response, Dubai Police have reiterated the dangers of stopping on roads. Motorists who stop due to breakdowns, running out of fuel, or tire issues face a Dh1,000 fine and six traffic points. An additional Dh500 fine applies for obstructing traffic flow.

## Safety Recommendations

Brigadier Jumaa Salem bin Suwaidan from Dubai Traffic Department emphasized the risks associated with stopping on roads. He advised drivers to ensure their vehicles are roadworthy and to contact police if their vehicle breaks down and cannot be moved.

## Crash Details

The incident involved a driver stopping suddenly, causing a following vehicle to hit the individual and crash into the stopped car and another vehicle. The person struck sustained serious injuries, while two others were moderately injured and hospitalized. Traffic experts and emergency teams responded promptly to manage the situation.
