## Initiative to Enhance Emirati Financial Expertise
AICPA & CIMA, in collaboration with PLM Financial Advisory, have introduced the Finance Emiratisation Think Tank. This advisory board aims to guide the development of the Emirati Finance Academy, a program tailored to enhance financial skills among Emiratis in the UAE.
## Addressing Skill Gaps
The Think Tank's primary goal is to address the under-representation of Emiratis in senior finance roles. Despite increased participation in finance, there remains a gap at higher levels such as CFO positions. The initiative seeks to create a structured pathway from secondary education to executive leadership.
## Comprehensive Program Structure
The Academy offers a six-level program, starting with financial literacy for young students and progressing to a Strategic CFO Programme for senior leaders. It targets 1,000 Emirati professionals and 5,000 students in its first year.
## Collaborative Efforts
The Think Tank brings together public and private sectors to align educational efforts with national goals. It plans to work with government bodies, universities, and employers to provide measurable, work-integrated learning opportunities.
## Future Plans
Over the next year, the board aims to secure endorsements from key ministries and establish partnerships with educational institutions. Plans include engaging top private sector employers and hosting CFO roundtables to further the initiative's impact.
