## Fireworks Prohibition and Safety Measures
As Diwali approaches, several residential communities in Dubai have issued safety alerts regarding the use of fireworks. Community management companies, including Dubai Holding Community Management (DHCM) and Emaar Community Management, emphasize that setting off fireworks without a proper license is prohibited. They urge residents to adhere to local regulations to prevent fire hazards.
## Specific Community Guidelines
DHCM has highlighted that communities such as Palm Jumeirah, Jumeirah Islands, and others should refrain from using unauthorized fireworks. They also advise residents to educate children about the dangers of fireworks and ensure they do not handle them.
## Candle and Diya Safety
Residents are reminded to keep candles and diyas at least 50cm away from flammable materials and never leave them unattended. Emaar Community Management has also stressed that lighting candles or diyas in common areas is not allowed.
## Additional Safety Precautions
Both management companies recommend avoiding overloading electrical sockets with decorative lights and ensuring all lights are turned off before leaving home or going to bed. Keeping emergency exits clear and maintaining reasonable noise levels are also advised.
## Responsible Celebration
Residents are encouraged to celebrate Diwali responsibly by following these guidelines, which aim to ensure a safe and enjoyable festival for everyone in the community.
