## Tragic Incident at Konya Airport

A 68-year-old Turkish imam, Abdullah Özkan, tragically passed away while leading prayers at Konya Airport. Özkan, who was dressed in ihram, was preparing to travel to Mecca for Umrah with a group of 180 pilgrims.

## Sudden Collapse

The incident occurred as Özkan was reciting the Talbiyah prayer and blessings upon the Prophet Mohammed. Witnesses reported that he suddenly lost his voice and collapsed. Immediate medical attention was provided, but he was pronounced dead at the hospital.

## Heart Attack Suspected

Although the exact cause of death has not been confirmed, it is suspected that Özkan suffered a heart attack. His colleague, İsmail Gümüş, noted that Özkan showed no signs of illness prior to the incident.

## Community Mourning

Özkan, a respected religious figure in Beyşehir, was buried at the local cemetery following funeral prayers. The service was attended by family, colleagues, and community members, including Enes Aktaş, the mufti of Beyşehir, who paid tribute to Özkan's contributions.
