## Introduction of nol–Jaywan Card
Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) is set to launch a new nol–Jaywan card, enhancing the existing nol card system. This new card will integrate transport payments with a broader range of digital services and promotional offers.
## Features and Benefits
The nol–Jaywan card combines the current nol payment system with Jaywan, the UAE's national card payment scheme. This collaboration aims to streamline payments for transport and other services, offering over 120 discounts and promotions. The card will utilize account-based ticketing technology, providing more flexible payment options.
## Usage and Availability
The card will initially be tested in November 2026, covering public transport like the Dubai Metro and buses, as well as taxis and public parking. The RTA plans to gradually expand its use to include more transport services and online booking platforms across the UAE.
## Digital Integration
The new card will support digital activation and usage on both Android and iOS smartphones, allowing users to manage services digitally. However, specific details about smartphone functionalities during the pilot phase are yet to be disclosed.
## Launch Timeline
The pilot phase is set to begin in November 2026, with a phased rollout planned. Exact dates for the pilot launch and broader public availability have not been announced yet.
## Impact on Commuters
For Dubai residents, the nol–Jaywan card promises a unified payment solution for transport and other services, simplifying daily transactions and offering additional benefits. The upcoming pilot phase marks the first step in this transition, with further details to be revealed in the future.
