## Flight Operations Amid Disruptions
IndiGo and Air India have announced plans to operate 58 flights on March 4, despite ongoing airspace disruptions affecting international travel. The Ministry of Civil Aviation in India is actively monitoring the situation, which has already led to the cancellation of over 1,600 flights, including 1,221 by Indian carriers and 388 by foreign airlines.
## Resumption and Safety Measures
Indian airlines are gradually resuming long-haul flights using alternative routes to bypass restricted airspace. Special measures are in place to assist stranded passengers, including additional flights and coordination with foreign aviation authorities. On March 4, IndiGo is set to operate 30 flights, while Air India and Air India Express plan 23 flights. Emirates and Etihad have also conducted nine flights from the Gulf region in the past day.
## Passenger Guidance and Safety
Ensuring passenger safety remains a top priority. Airlines have been instructed to provide clear communication regarding flight status, refunds, and rescheduling. The Ministry is also keeping an eye on airfares to prevent price hikes. Passengers are advised to check flight updates directly with airlines and rely on official sources for information.
The Ministry continues to work closely with airlines, airports, and regulatory bodies to ensure safe and orderly passenger movement during these disruptions.
