UAE invites private sector feedback on updated wage protection system

## Ministry Invites Private Sector Input

The UAE's Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) is calling on private sector professionals to provide feedback on the latest enhancements to the Wage Protection System. This initiative aims to bolster worker rights and improve the employment framework in the country.

## Feedback Submission Deadline

Stakeholders can submit their proposals and comments until April 30, 2026, via the "Sharek. Emirates" digital platform. The ministry will review all contributions to refine the system before its final implementation.

## System Enhancements

The updated Wage Protection System, launched in December, aims to improve salary payment processes and expand digital payment options. It integrates with licensed financial institutions to ensure faster and more accurate wage transfers, reducing delays and minimizing disputes.

## Coverage and Impact

Currently, the system covers over 99% of private sector workers in the UAE, facilitating the transfer of more than Dh35 billion monthly. The enhancements focus on increasing transparency, compliance, and data accuracy, while enabling real-time connections between government systems and financial institutions.

## Digital Transformation Agenda

The reforms are part of the UAE's broader digital transformation efforts, aligning labor governance with international standards. The ministry has received positive feedback from employers, indicating confidence in the system's effectiveness.
