## Safe Air Corridors Initiative

The UAE has initiated safe air corridors in collaboration with Gulf nations, allowing for 48 flights per hour. This move aims to sustain economic and tourism activities amid regional tensions. The UAE's Minister of Economy and Tourism, Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, announced this development during a media briefing.

## Coordination and Safety Measures

The corridors were established with the help of neighboring countries and the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO). The current capacity of 48 flights per hour may increase following safety evaluations. The UAE's economy has shown resilience, maintaining stability despite geopolitical challenges.

## Food Security and Tourism

Al Marri emphasized the UAE's strong food security system, with sufficient stockpiles to meet domestic needs for four to six months. Import activities continue smoothly, with no disruptions in supply chains. The tourism sector remains robust, with over 1,260 hotels and 40,000 tourism-related companies operating. The government is ensuring the safety and comfort of tourists and is covering costs for travelers affected by flight delays.

## Aviation Sector Management

The aviation sector is operating under a structured framework, ensuring business continuity while adhering to safety standards. Limited flights have resumed to facilitate the return of citizens and residents. The General Civil Aviation Authority is actively monitoring the situation to enable a safe return to normal air navigation.
